Jack catches the apology but doesn't have a lot of time to respond to it considering the kick connects and considering he goes down hard on his hands and knees. He hesitates a moment before he makes a grab for the cards nearby and turns over onto his back, scrabbling backwards a bit. It's probably a good thing no one else can see right now, because he can't quite keep the smirk off his face now as he produces the cards, popping an eyebrow at Dylan.

He doesn't quite pull Neo's "come at me" hand gesture, but it's somehow implied anyway.
