Dylan flinches every time Jack looses a card, whether or not they get close to him -- though some do, some get more than just close for all that Jack isn't being as accurate as he could be. Again, though, he signed up for this; he doesn't fault Jack for what he leaves him with in the way of battle scars. They'll look good later, as part of the story, and he doubts they'll actually scar.

Keep going, he urges, that in mind, as Jack gets close to the door. A flutter of nerves rises up beyond that, as he's still worried about something going terribly wrong during the chase, and he'll have no way of knowing until the end.
